Coding.Waterkant Meetup // 29. September

We’re back from our summer break with fresh insights from the world of AI!

Our first meetup of the season is all about self-hosting and second brains presented by Coding.Waterkant by opencampus․sh and the DiWiSH AI Working Group.

We’ll explore lessons learned from hosting GLM 5.3 and discover how personal AI assistants can help us build a smarter digital second brain.

New Machine Learning & AI Courses

The new semester at opencampus.sh is starting in the end of October, with several exciting courses around Machine Learning, AI and cybersecurity! 

Our classics return: Introduction to Data Science and Machine Learning with Steffen Brandt and Intermediate Machine Learning with Henrik Horst & Carl Schmidt.

For advanced learners, Coding.Waterkant 2026 participants Gerret Halberstadt & Jan Sprenger are offering a hands-on course on Agentic AI. You’ll build your own AI agent, connect it to tools and real systems, and explore autonomy, reliability, costs and security.

In Pentesting with AI?, Jan Monica & Marvin Ottersberg introduce you to finding and exploiting vulnerabilities in web applications. You’ll tackle challenges manually, test open-source AI pentesting agents and compare the results.

And Kristian Boroz offers a hands-on course on Explainable AI, talking about Machine Learning model interpretability and Responsible AI. Dates for this course will be announced soon.
