Coding.Waterkant 2026 is just around the corner

in less than two weeks, Coding.Waterkant 2026 will finally begin. Before we kick off the camp week, we'd like to highlight two things:

Join us for the Opening Night on July 6

On Monday, July 6, we'll officially kick off Coding.Waterkant 2026 – and you're invited.

We'll start with cold drinks from 5:30 PM, before Dirk Schrödter officially opens Coding.Waterkant at 6:00 PM. Afterwards, we're looking forward to two inspiring keynotes:

  • Anita Schüttler, Co-Chair of the Federal Association Green Software and Head of IT Sustainability @neuland // AI's hidden environmental impact - and a better way forward
  • Sven Großmann, Grafana Labs // Hacking Google and Watching Agents: The new realities of AI Security & Observability

After the talks, stick around for food, drinks, and conversations with participants, speakers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and technology enthusiasts before the camp gets underway the next morning.

The Opening is also a great opportunity for anyone who can't attend the full Coding.Waterkant Camp from July 6–10 but would still like to experience the spirit of the community. If you're curious about what Coding.Waterkant is all about or considering joining in the future, this is the perfect place to start.

The Workshop Program for Coding.Waterkant is set

We're excited to welcome an outstanding group of workshop hosts this year, bringing together practical experience, research, and fresh perspectives on some of today's most exciting technology topics.

Among this year's workshops are:

  • AI Security & Observability with Sven Großmann (Grafana Labs)
  • 1-click Inference Environments with Terraform with Daniel Banck (IBM)
  • Agentic Payment with Niels Launert
  • Energy-Efficient Software Development with Sebastian Roseneck, Vincent Roßknecht & Moritz Besser (envite consulting)
  • Rethinking Linguistic Frameworks in AI with Marc Heimann (hermeneutic.ai)
  • Let Agents Run Wild — Safely with Daniel Albensoeder (Ellamind)

From sustainable software development and AI security to agentic systems, infrastructure automation, and new ways of understanding language models, this year's program offers a diverse range of topics. As always, the workshops are hands-on, interactive, and designed to encourage discussion, experimentation, and collaboration.
